1. The Alter Markt and the Alte Stadthaus

8. Church of St Reinoldi
The church of St. Reinoldi dates back to the late 13th century, and is named after the Saint Patron of the town. As the legend goes, the cart with his coffin rolled to Dortmund after Reinold was martyred in
Cologne and stopped at this church site. There is a statue of him at the entrance of the cathedral facing King Charlemagne. The late Gothic high altar of the church is artistically outstanding, and last, but not least, the bell towers offer a wonderful view of the city.
9. Dortmund Zoo
Zoos are always a good option if you are planning for a family trip, and Dortmund Zoo is a great place to spend a day with the kids. This zoo is home to an exceptionally large number of South American animals.
