1. Edinburgh Castle

Certainly the icon of Edinburgh, the ancient fort stands at the Castle Rock summit. It is the most prominent castle in Scotland and the oldest portion of the castle is there since the 12th century. The fortress houses the One O'clock Rifle, St Margaret's Chapel, Scottish Crown Jewels'(Honors) , Scottish National War Memorial, and several other attractions. You'll need to visit the castle for some hours without rush, but no worries because your tour bus will either remain there, or pick you up later when you require it.

2.  Royal Mile

This heritage Mile is the most celebrated street in Edinburgh. It links Edinburgh Castle in the west with Holyroodhouse Palace in the east. The street is almost exactly one mile long from the castle main doors to the palace main gate and runs downhill between two significant locations in Scotland's royal history, Edinburgh Castle and Holyrood Palace, hence the term. West to East Castlehill, Lawnmarket, High Street, Canongate and Abbey Beach are the avenues that make up the Royal Mile. The Royal Mile is the city center’s bustling tourist street, which could only be rivaled in the new town by Princes Street.

3. Palace of Holyroodhouse

The Holyroodhouse Building is Her Majesty the Queen's official home in Scotland.  This majestic residence is situated at the end of the famous Royal Mile and is dedicated to the royal past of Scotland. Visitors can explore 14 magnificent historical and state-owned apartments, the wrecks of the Holyrood Abbey since the 12th century and the remarkable royal gardens. The Palace, best known as Mary 's home, Queen of Scotland, was the setting for many dramatic episodes of her brief reign. Today the Queen frequently use State Apartments for public events and official events.

4. St Giles Cathedral

The Cathedral of St Giles was built on an ancient sanctuary which dates back to the ninth century. The Cathedral was devoted to the patron saint of the lepers, Saint Giles. While not a cathedral strictly speaking because it is a Protestant parish, St Giles is Edinburgh's oldest City church.  It can not be missed with its famed crown spire along the Royal Mile between Edinburgh Castle and HolyroodHouse Palace. Easy to find on foot, but if after a long day of exploring the city you 're already tired, our tour bus will drop you off as fairly close.

5. Calton Hill

This is one of the biggest hills in Edinburgh, placed at the base of Princess Road, the tour bus driver would then make sure you drop off at the steps leading up to Calton Hill. You will visit multiple monuments on the hilltop, each worth climbing to the top. Memorials like   Scotland's National Monument, City Observatory and Nelson Monument. As well, the hill offers amazing and simply beautiful panoramic views of the city, which you will enjoy during the day and more so at dusk to capture the beauty of Edinburgh.

6. Arthur's Seat

If you are feeling adventurous, then why not climb up Arthur's Seat on the edge of town? Located in Holyrood Park, it is a dormant volcano that last erupted more than 300 million years ago, and is sitting at 251 meters above sea level. Though interesting by it self, the views from the rocky vista are among the best in the city. You'll enjoy an uninterrupted view of everything Edinburgh has to offer so make sure you take your camera.

7. Princess Street Gardens

Established in 1820 after the North Loch drainage, the Princess Street Gardens now encompasses more than one hundred and fifty thousands square meters. It is split into two parts by The Mound, an artificial hill that connects New Town and Old Town and where the Scottish National Gallery can be noticed. Free to enter by tour bus, Princes Street Gardens is one of Edinburgh's most spectacular and beautiful public parks. You'll find other people here all year round. Be sure to enjoy the gardens of Winter Wonderland in wintertime, a beautiful Festive season event.

8. Scottish Parliament

Holyrood's Scottish Parliament new building was formally opened in 2004 and must be visited in Edinburgh, so let your Coach Coach Charter Germany 's tour bus driver schedule a parliament visit. Catalan architect Enric Miralles constructed the exciting and lavish house. Located only a stone's throw from Holyrooodhouse Palace at the foot of the Royal Mile, the structure is accessible to the public, and guided tours are often given. Parliament House became a point of contention because work went massively beyond budget. A intense controversy often rages about whether the structure is actually stunning or hideous.

9. Dean Village

Dean Village, a peaceful hamlet on the Water of Leith, Edinburgh's largest river, it is a great location to reach by tour bus just a short while outside the city centre. Book your Coach Charter Germany’s  charter bus for this trip. Founded in the twelfth century by the Regular Canons of the Holyrood Abbey, it is also known as the Leith Village Water. It's really nice to go for a walk around Dean Village. A small bridge over the river and the beautiful stone houses dating back to the seventeenth century give this part of Edinburgh a unique charm. It has many highlights, such as the Water of Leith, the Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art and the Dean Garden of remembrance.

10.  The Royal Yacht Britannia

Another site to explore when in Edinburgh is the Royal Yacht Britannia. The Royal vessel welcomed some of the world's most prominent members of society, but was the British Royal Family's home for over 40 years. The ship rests outside the city in Leith. Book your chartered bus and get your driver to Leith 's harbour. Before you board this esteemed ship, the Britannia Ocean Terminal Visitor Center will welcome you warmly.
